Local Councils Stop Help For Elderly.

Well over 900,000 elderly OAPs are now being refused help from County and District Councils because of Government cuts.

DAVID CAMERON PROMISED TO LOOK AFTER THE OLD AND VULNERABLE.

Cameron is good at breaking his promises.

Local Councils To Raise Council Tax.

More than 20% of local councils have £11 Billion stashed away, yet have refused a Government offer of £805 Million to fund a council tax freeze.

You can expect up to 6% increase in your council tax bill for 2012 - 2013.

Council Tenants On The Fiddle.

It has ben calculated that over 23% of council tenants are on the fiddle.

The types of fiddles are:

• 750,000 fraudulent tenancies.
• Sub-letting.
• False names of occupants.
• Occupants owning property in other locations.

The cost to us, the taxpayers is a staggering £13.5 BILLION EACH YEAR.

Your Council Tax Pays For Town Hall Pensions.

For every £5 you pay in council tax, £1 of that goes towards penpusher’s pensions.

YES, A HUGE 20% of council tax is paid into Town Hall staff pensions.

Councillors Latch Onto Pension Pots.

It has now emerged that your elected County and District Councillor will be eligible for GOLD PLATED PENSIONS at our expense.

This is wrong.

Councillors always argue that they want to “Serve” their community and not make money at our expense.

Surrey County Told Couple To “Put Weeds And Rubbish Back”.

Samantha Hamilton and Colin Freeman spent months clearing weeds, rubbish, dead plants, broken bottles and scrap metal from OUTSIDE their home in the village of Mytchett, Surrey.

A jobsworth from the County Council sent Sam and Colin a stern letter telling them to return the site to its former condition or face legal action.

The couple can BUY a retrospective licence to clear the site at a cost of £78.

What petty idiots Surrey Council employ. These jobsworths could never hold down a proper productive job.

South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) Cuts Wardens.

SCDC is putting the lives of 500 vulnerable people in sheltered housing at risk.

Just 9 wardens have been given responsibility for looking after these elderly residents across 42 sites in the district.

In just 5 years the Council has gone from 2 live-in wardens on site round the clock 365 days per year to only 5 wardens for all 42 sites.

SCDC is putting the lives of 500 residents at risk.

The savings axe has once again fallen on the most vulnerable in need of being looked after.

900,000 Won’t receive Support As Councils Slash Funding.

Cuts to social care by Councils means that over 900,000 vulnerable people will NOT receive the care that they desperately need.

SO MUCH FOR CAMERON’S PROMISE TO CARE FOR OUR MOST VULNERABLE IN SOCIETY.

Conservative Cambridgeshire County Council Ignore Government Grants To Not Raise Council Tax.

The Conservative Cambridgeshire County Council has refused a Government grant so that Council tax can be frozen.

Instead the Council is RAISING Council tax by 2.95%.

At the same time the Conservatives on the Council have put to one side £100,000 so that Councillor allowances can be INCREASED BY A MASSIVE 19.5%.

This huge increase in Councillor allowances comes at a time when severe cuts are being made to services for the elderly, vulnerable children and those in GENUINE need.

THIS IS CONSERVATIVE COUNCILLOR GREED AT ITS WORST.

These Councillors are showing utter contempt for their electorate.

South Cambridgeshire District Councillor Accused Of Being Out Of Order.

Cllr Tom Bygott was accused of “Being out of order” for daring to criticize the local planning department for “Providing work for unemployed architects” and is actively hostile to the interests of residents.

Tom went on to say that planning regulations favour developers over individuals.

Tom is NOT out of order. He is speaking the truth.

South Cambridgeshire District Council Agrees Planning Development On Green Belt.

Agreement has been given to allow Domino, a firm located in Bar Hill to build a new development on “Green belt” land which is outside the Council’s development plan.

Local District Councillor Bunty Waters said that the new development would be good for local employment.

There is no guarantee that jobs would go to LOCAL people.

Cllr Waters appears to have forgotten a major development proposal on the same land that was rejected. That proposal would have opened the door to major development along the A14 as far as Huntingdon.

This agreement will resurrect demands for development along the A14 TRUNK ROAD which is NOT what local people wish.

Such developments will INCREASE traffic on an already overcrowded trunk road.

Bar Hill Parish Council, even though it has no powers, gave its agreement “With reservations”.

The Chairman of Bar Hill Parish Council, Margaret Sellars should know better. Permission with reservations is not given.

If there are reservations, then permission must be refused.

Tear Down Your Protest Camp.

Residents of Meriden in West Midlands set up a camp to demonstrate and prevent the spread of an illegal Gypsy site.

Instead of removing the illegal Gypsies off  their illegal site, the local Solihull council decided to take legal action against the villagers who are determined to protect their neighbourhood.

Well done you council jobsworths.

Once agail illegal Gypsies come before legal residents.

Council Fined £100,000.

Croyden Council was fined £100,000 for breach of the Data Protection Act.

A social worker was taking sensitive papers about a child sex abuse case home when the bag containing the papers was stolen.

• WHY were these papers taken off site?
• WHY is the Council being fined?  The fine is taxpayer’s money. Taxpayers again pay the penalty for negligent public sector workers.
• WHY was the social worker not fined?

Cambridgeshire Fire Service Waste.

Cambridge Fire Service has 2 fire engines sitting idle because they are faulty.

They have sat doing nothing for the last 18 MONTHS.

The cost to the local taxpayers is £1.3 Million.

Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) Big Spenders.

Shire Hall is to borrow £251 Million.

A new rail station is to be built in the city plus a new bypass for Ely.

CCC has ignored a Government grant to freeze Council tax, instead has raised its Council tax by 2.95%.

Cambridgeshire Councillors have awarded themselves a massive 19.5% INCREASE in their allowances.

By contrast South Cambridgeshire District Council recognise the hardship of their electorate and has NOT raised Council tax.

Cambridge Police Raises Tax.

The Cambridgeshire Police Authority has raised its part of Council tax by 2.92%.

Peterborough City Council Raises Tax.

Peterborough city council is raising its council tax by 2.95% each year FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS.

The city taxpayers are funding 2 FULL TIME trade union activists’ salaries.

• Ron Hendry, Unison branch Secretary cost P’Boro citizens £43,600 each year.
• Mark Burns, Assistant branch Secretary costs £29,700 each year.

Both are full time union members and DO NOT carry out any city council duties.

Add to these salaries the cost of “Free” office facilities, the total cost to P’Boro tax payers is £83,300 each year.

6,000 Council House Tenants Each Earn £100,000.

Over 6,000 council house tenants each earn more than £100,000 per year.

These people should be evicted. Council houses are there for people on low incomes and those who need support, not to subsidise high earners.

Increased Flood Risk From Development.

Local Authorities in England and in particular East England are eager to give developers permission to develope land and build houses.

The new Government legislation which gives a presumption to development is creating a major risk of increased flooding.

It is estimated that in Cambridgeshire alone the increased risk is as high as 50%.

This means that house owners will NOT be able to buy house insurance.

Local Authorities all too eager to tell us that there is no risk should be made to pay house owner insurance premiums if refused by insurance companies.

Kingsmead School GCSE Farce.

Kingsmead school in Wiveliscombe, Somerset has hit educational rock bottom.

Instead of literary classics such as Great Expectations and Julius Caesar, Kingsmead school now offers English GCSE with , wait for it,

Britain’s got talent, The X  Factor and Heat magazine.

If this is not a lowering of educational standards, we don’t know what is.

Gosport Emergency Services Cowards.

Firemen, Police Officers and Paramedics from Gosport, Hampshire stood around for over a half an hour and watched as Simon Burgess lay drowning in just 3 FT OF WATER.

Gosport fire officers said “Safety rules stop us going into water more than ANKLE-DEEP”.

Police and Paramedics were ordered NOT to enter the water by Tony Nicholls the fire station watch manager.

THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT EMERGENCY WORKER COWARDS HAVE REFUSED TO ACT.

SHANNON POWELL:

• Collapsed on a cross-country run. Paramedics refused to help because the ground was slippery.

ALISON HUME:

• Fell down a mine shaft but was left for 8 hours because the available winch was for rescue workers only. Alison later died.

JORDAN LYON:

• Two support police officers refused to help the 10 year old boy who dived into water to rescue his sister.  Jordan later died.

These people who claim to be emergency services must ignore so call health and safety rules and perform their duties for which they are paid.
